Meet Zion!

We are proud to highlight Zion, a remarkable 9-year-old who has been part of the BBLC family since September 2020.

Zion began his journey with full-time center-based ABA, later transitioning to home-based services as he started attending school full-time. This month, Zion completed his final chapter with BBLC—and what a journey it's been.

Over the past four and a half years, Zion has made tremendous progress, supported every step of the way by his dedicated RBT, Matthew Santos, who’s been with him since day one. When Zion first joined BBLC, he had limited communication skills. With consistent support, he progressed from using PECS, to an AAC device, and now communicates vocally and confidently to express his wants and needs.

Zion’s growth has extended well beyond communication. All previously targeted behaviors for reduction have remained at zero, and he continues to build independence and social connection. One of the year’s proudest moments? Zion competed in the Special Olympics, bringing home multiple first-place medals!

Zion’s success is a testament to his resilience, his family's dedication, and the power of personalized, compassionate care. We’re honored to have been a part of his journey.
