Our Story

Who We Are

Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC) was founded in 2016 with one purpose: to create a place where every learner is seen, supported, and empowered. As a clinician-founded, owned, and operated organization, we bring firsthand expertise and deep understanding to every aspect of our work. Our team is driven by a shared passion for supporting our learners and their families in ways that feel respectful, personal, and affirming.

Rooted in science. Guided by compassion. Built for your child.

Boston Behavioral Learning Centers (BBLC) is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality clinical support for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental differences. Our approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is designed to be creative, engaging, and joyful, highlighting each learner’s unique strengths, interests, and motivations. At BBLC, we strive to create nurturing environments where young children can grow, thrive, and be authentically themselves.

Our Values

Cultural Responsiveness

We respect and adapt to the individual and cultural needs of every family we serve.

Safety at BBLC

At BBLC, we create environments where children can learn, grow, and play with confidence.

Highly Trained, Caring Staff

Our team members undergo comprehensive background checks, receive CPR and First Aid training, and participate in ongoing training in behavior support, crisis prevention, and child safeguarding. (Learn more about the Safety-Care and other specialized training we provide at BBLC. Click here.)

Proactive Behavior Support

We focus on proactive, evidence-based strategies that help prevent challenging behaviors and build skills for emotional regulation. When additional support is needed, our team follows individualized behavior plans created by our BCBAs to ensure care that is both safe and compassionate. All clinical practices are overseen by our Chief Clinical Officer, a doctoral-level behavior analyst.

Secure, Child-Friendly Facilities

Our centers are designed with safety in mind—featuring secured entry points, childproofed spaces, and consistent supervision at all times. To further support safety, accountability, and transparency, cameras are installed in all center-based locations. These cameras are used for internal monitoring purposes only and are part of our commitment to a secure and supportive environment.

Health & Wellness Protocols

We follow strict hygiene and illness-prevention procedures to maintain a clean, healthy environment. This includes regular handwashing, disinfecting of toys and surfaces, and staying up to date with public health guidelines.

Expert Supervision at All Times

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Center Director are present on-site during all operating hours to provide guidance, oversight, and support. Their constant presence ensures that clinical quality is maintained, staff have immediate access to expert assistance, and children receive care that is safe, consistent, and responsive to their needs.

Emergency Preparedness

BBLC staff are trained to respond to emergencies calmly and with each child’s needs in mind. We conduct regular safety drills and have detailed procedures in place for fire, severe weather, and other emergency scenarios. Our business continuity plans are updated twice a year, or as needed, to ensure we are always prepared.

Health Equity & Inclusion

At Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC), our mission is to deliver high-quality, individualized services that support meaningful progress for our clients. This mission guides everything we do, including our commitment to equity and inclusion.

We believe that achieving the best outcomes for our clients requires a culture where every individual is valued, every voice is respected, and every barrier to access is addressed with care and integrity. We recognize that well-being is shaped by many factors, including cultural background, lived experience, and personal needs. That is why we are dedicated to creating a service and work environment that is inclusive, responsive, and fair for all.

To live out our values, BBLC is committed to:

  • We reduce barriers—linguistic, financial, cultural, or systemic—so that all clients and families can access the care they need.

  • Our team is stronger when it reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We support inclusive hiring, mentorship, and professional growth for all staff.

  • We partner with families to create care plans that reflect their values, goals, and lived experience—never a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • We listen. We review feedback. We adapt. Equity is not a finished product—it is a daily commitment.
