Diversity & Inclusion
Statement of Commitment
At Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC), we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and respected, regardless of their background or identity. We proudly serve a diverse clientele and understand the importance of offering culturally responsive care tailored to the unique needs of each family. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, effective behavioral health services that honor cultural and linguistic differences.
We recognize that creating an inclusive and supportive environment goes beyond our work with clients—it also shapes the experience of our staff. We prioritize open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration to ensure that everyone, both clients and team members, feels empowered to contribute and grow.
We actively seek individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact and who share our mission of delivering high-quality, ethical, and empathetic services to the families we serve.
At BBLC, we are proud to be a space where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is a daily practice, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
RBT Training
All new RBTs at BBLC go through an intensive two-week paid training program designed to prepare them for success in the field. This comprehensive onboarding experience combines classroom-style instruction with hands-on practice, giving staff the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need before working directly with clients. Training at BBLC does not stop after these first two weeks—our team participates in ongoing supervision, continuing education, and regular recertification to ensure that every RBT continues to grow professionally and provide the highest quality of care. Learn more about training here!
-
Our new hires complete a series of 40-hour RBT training modules that cover the essential principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior reduction techniques, data collection, and ethical considerations.
-
During initial training, new hires are paired with experienced RBTs to apply what they’re learning in their training modules. They become familiar with clients’ behavior plans and have the opportunity to observe, ask questions, and practice implementing programs after they are modeled by their mentors.
-
Training covers key systems like CentralReach (our electronic record and data collection system), with a focus on scheduling, appointment management, and accurate documentation. Team members also learn to write professional session notes, uphold confidentiality, and communicate effectively. Cultural competency and inclusive practices are also emphasized to ensure respectful, client-centered support.
-
After completing the two-week training, each RBT must successfully pass a competency assessment to demonstrate their understanding of ABA principles and ability to implement interventions effectively. This assessment is a requirement before sitting for the official RBT certification exam.
-
We set clear expectations for all our RBTs to obtain their official RBT certification within their first 90 days of employment. This is part of our commitment to ensure that every staff member has the skills, confidence, and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and make a lasting impact in the lives of the children and families we serve.
-
At BBLC, we believe in continuous learning and professional growth. After completing their initial RBT training, staff receive at least weekly one-on-one supervision and ongoing training to support their development and ensure high-quality care.
