Consultation & Training

Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC) partners with public school districts and families to provide consultation, staff training, and individualized support services that enhance educational experiences and improve student outcomes. We identify barriers to success, implement effective strategies, and promote consistent, evidence-based practices across settings.

Partnering for Success

We offer consultation and direct services for students in both school and home settings, including: 

  • We conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the reasons behind challenging behaviors. By identifying the function of the behavior, we can create more effective strategies to support positive change and skill development in school settings.

  • Based on the results of the FBA, we develop customized Behavior Intervention Plans tailored to the student's needs. These plans include proactive strategies, skill-building goals, and specific responses to challenging behaviors to promote success and safety.

  • We collaborate with school teams to ensure behavior goals and accommodations outlined in the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) are implemented consistently and effectively. Regular data review and consultation help maintain accountability and progress.

  • Whether a student needs short-term intensive support or long-term collaboration, we provide flexible services that adapt to each situation. Our goal is to equip school staff and students with the tools they need for lasting success in the least restrictive environment possible.
