Meet Samiyah!
Just shy of two years ago, Samiyah joined the Canton Center. She has always brought energy to each and every session. She started as an early level one learner and recently graduated from the Canton Center ready to take on school! She has grown into a vibrant, social butterfly who shows interest in playing tag, riding bikes with peers, and dancing.
In the spring of 2025, she began showing pride in her artwork and her accomplishments throughout the day. She would hold her pictures next to her table to show staff she wanted them hung up for all her peers to see. Samiyah has shown flexibility in working with various RBTs and multiple BCBAs. She has benefited and grown from the collaboration of her past, present, and future staff. Samiyah has expanded her expressive language over the last year, with a highlight on her vocal requesting. Samiyah is a confident learner who voices her needs and will stand up for herself. Throughout the last year, she has been able to strengthen specific sounds, leading to more access across staff and peers.
Samiyah continues to display her independence by completing mealtime routines, packing her backpack, and ultimately being able to gain others’ attention. Her growth over the last two years has been a dedication to Samiyah’s ability to pair and trust her RBTs and BCBAs at the Canton Center. We want to thank Samiyah and her family for allowing us to be a part of her ABA chapter, and her energy is missed across the center. To Samiyah’s family, I appreciate your trust in us, and I am grateful to have met each one of you.
Samiyah, I cannot wait to see your accomplishments in school and beyond. Your confidence and passion for joy are undoubtedly going to take you far!
