Behavior Analyst in Training (BIT) Program

What is the BIT Program?

At Boston Behavior Learning Centers (BBLC), we are committed to fostering professional growth and development by providing meaningful opportunities for future clinicians to gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Our Behavior Analysts in Training (BIT) program is designed for individuals in the final stages of their ABA Master’s program who are eager to bridge the gap between coursework and practice.

Real-World Training & Experience

BITs are assigned to specific cases, working closely with experienced BCBAs and Directors. They receive comprehensive, paid training that spans across all aspects of the ABA field:

  • BITs will shadow BCBAs during client sessions, learning how to apply ABA principles in real-world scenarios.

  • In addition to direct service, BITs will also gain experience in critical behind-the-scenes tasks like program development, data collection, and report writing.

Throughout the program, BITs gradually gain more responsibility. Over time, they will have the opportunity to independently manage their own case(s) with the continued support and guidance of their supervising BCBAs. This hands-on training prepares them for a smooth transition into a full-time BCBA role once they have completed their certification.

Fieldwork Hours with Flexibility

As a BIT, you’ll gain paid, unrestricted fieldwork hours to meet the requirements of your ABA Master’s program. This hands-on experience is invaluable, offering you the chance to apply your classroom knowledge in real-world settings, while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals.
