Alyson Buck

Chief Clinical Officer, PHD, BCBA-D, LABA

Dr. Buck serves as BBLC’s Chief Clinical Officer and oversees all clinical operations and clinical quality initiatives across the organization. She is originally from Pennsylvania and completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Gettysburg College. After working at the Ivymount School, an ABA program outside of Washington, DC, for a few years after college, Dr. Buck moved to Lawrence, KS to attend the University of Kansas, where she completed her Master’s in Applied Behavioral Science and her Ph.D. in Behavioral Psychology. Her master’s research focused on novelty and creativity in the pretend play of children with autism. Her doctoral research was completed in KU’s Performance Management Lab and focused on staff feedback receptivity. During her time in graduate school, Dr. Buck taught undergraduate courses in behavior analysis and supervised an early intervention program that served as a practicum site for undergraduate students. In her career as a BCBA, has worked in home, school, community, and clinic settings with clients with ASD and IDD ranging in age from 18 months to about 70 years. Before joining BBLC in 2024, Dr. Buck worked as the Director of Quality and Research at an agency in Kansas City, MO that serves children and adults with ASD. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking, doing yoga, and spending quality time with her dog and her husband.
