Alesia Sheridan

MS, BCBA, LABA, Center-Based Director, Quincy

Mrs. Sheridan is a BCBA and Director of the Quincy Center. She entered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) when she was in college and was fatefully matched with an ABA-based substantially separate preschool in the New Bedford Public Schools. She found herself in awe of the rapid progress the students exhibited and resonated with a method of teaching where silliness and piggybacks were encouraged to reinforce desired skills. Alesia pursued a Masters’ degree in Behavior Analysis through Simmons College and later worked as an Adjunct Faculty member for their Intensive Practicum Program. Alesia joined BBLC in 2015 and worked in the home session until 2022 when the Quincy Center opened and Alesia was promoted to Director. Alesia's clinical interest includes the study of verbal behavior and using it to teach children language. Mrs Sheridan finds it greatly rewarding to change the trajectory of a child’s life who was previously minimally verbal. Alesia prides herself in her amazing Quincy Center team and the enriched environment they create for the clients. In recent years, her area of interest has been in trauma informed care, and she recently gained certification as a Certified Trauma and Resiliance Specialist in Clinical settings.
